Who We Are

Fresh Eric's Cake Co Ltd is a family-run wholesale cake supplier based in Orpington, South East London, supplying handmade cakes, traybakes, tarts, puddings and muffins to coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, garden centres and caterers across London and the South East. We have been supplying the London catering trade since 2003. Over 20 years of baking the same way, to the same standards.

Our Story

We launched the business in 2003, the same year our first son was born — a family business in every sense. What started as a local home bakery making cakes two at a time in our domestic kitchen, supplying a handful of coffee shops, has grown into an established wholesale operation. But the way we work hasn't changed. Every cake is still made from scratch, by hand, using quality ingredients, by people who care about what they bake.

Who We Supply

We supply coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, garden centres and caterers across London and the South East. We are proud to be the supplier of Victoria Sponges to Compass Group UK and Ireland, the Official Caterers of the Campionship, Wimbledon. We have been selected for this role for successive years. We bake six of the eight cakes you'll find in the freezers at Cook, one of the UK's most respected food retailers. We have previously supplied Fortnum & Mason and Selfridges.

How We Bake

We focus on classic recipes done well. No shortcuts, no bought-in bases, no artificial additives. Our carrot and orange cake has been widely praised as London's best, and our hand-rolled pecan pie has been a customer favourite for years. We use quality ingredients throughout, because we believe the difference is something your customers can taste.

We hold the Compass Manufacturing Standard accreditation, reflecting our commitment to consistent food safety and quality standards across our production process.

How We Deliver

We deliver twice a week on our own vehicles — no third-party couriers — which means your cakes arrive in the same condition they left our bakery. Minimum order just £30 for direct delivery across London and the South East. For businesses outside our delivery area, we supply a network of catering wholesalers and distributors covering the wider UK.
